In this article I'm going to talk about how you can get the most out of college. As graduating senior at the University of Illinois, I can tell you from first hand experience that college will fly by. If you thought high school went by fast, multiply that by about 3 and that's how fast university life will feel like. Below are some lessons I learned in how to get the best experience you can out of college.

Get Outside Your Comfort Zone - College is a time where you learn so much about yourself and grow as a person. Meet people you normally wouldn't meet, do things you normally wouldn't do, get out there and explore! The times where I grew the most were situations where I was in a different environment around different people. Don't get me wrong, find your niche and group of friends but don't always hang around the same people all the time. When you start hanging around the same people all the time you start to stagnate. So put yourself in new places and situations and adapt, a part of you will grow in the process.

Study Abroad - Studying abroad was the highlight of my college career. I studied in Australia for 2 semesters and it was the best time of my life. I learned so much about myself and grew as a person so greatly. It was such an experience to live in another country for a full year. I met so many awesome people from all over the world and learned so much about different cultures. I traveled with 3 awesome people at the end of the 12 months around the east coast of Australia for about 4 weeks, it was the best time of my life!
